Multinational esports organization Team Liquid has entered the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene through the acquisition of Southeast Asian esports organization STUN. GG and two of its subsidiaries, AURA Esports and ECHO Esports.
After this buyout, AURA Esports will be known as Team Liquid ID, and ECHO Esports will be the new Team Liquid PH. MPL Indonesia and MPL Philippines are both franchised leagues and both teams are part of the Mobile Legends Professional League ecosystem.
ECHO Esports has particularly performed well notably by winning M4 World Championship as well as winning MPL Philippines Season 11 in 2023. On the other hand, AURA Esports has won third place in the MPL Indonesia in season 9 and 10 in 2022. Combining the number of followers of ECHO and AURA, it sums up to over 10 million followers on different social media accounts.
Team Liquid renamed teams AURA Esorts and ECHO Esorts for the next seasons of MPL Indonesia and MPL Philippines. And that became the name of the team team liquid aura
While the stipulation of the financial details of the deal has not been disclosed, Team Liquid, among the biggest eSports organizations on the planet, has disclosed that the present staff of AURA and ECHO will join its global commercial network. It also expects the acquisition would bring more of the STUN to the organisation and this could be some of the building blocks that the organisation is going to consider when it comes to creating a strategic plan.
